| Abstract: | Protection of converter is most complicated and important in HVDC protection system since converter is the vital part in converter station and linked with AC and DC systems. The protection covers valve short circuit protection, commutation failure protection, overvoltage protection, misfiring protection etc. as well as some kinds of monitoring. The arrangement and principal of the converter protection are presented. |
