Research on Using Thread Pool in J2ME Network Communication

Thread pooling can effectively reduce the resource consumption in multi-threading. It is wildly used in server applicationsto improve performance. This paper proposes to use thread pooling in J2ME networking applications to eliminate the cost on repetitiveconstruction and destruction of threads. An implementation of thread pool, together with its optimization approaches for J2ME, is presented in the paper. Based on this implementation, some further problems in thread pooling are also discussed.
