| Abstract: | In this paper,the meanings of scale and scaling are discussed in detail,and then general techniques and theories of multi-scale transformation in geo-science are summarized.Especially,as a new research problem,Scale transformation or scaling in spatial data mining is put forward originally,and some methods for handling this problem are proposed.It is sure that the scale dependency problem in geo-spatial data processing is of potential significance. |
