遥现—一种重要的虚拟现实技术

虚拟现实作为一种全新的人机交互环境，因其广泛的应用前景而日益受至人们的普遍关注，而遥现则是随遥控作业的需要而提出的虚拟现实的一个重要研究分支。由于遥现的实现可以大在改善遥迭作业能力，因而引起人们的研究兴趣，并得到迅速的发展。本文介绍了遥现技术的概念和主要研究内容，着重阐述了实现遥现的主要技术，最后以地其应用前景进行了展望。

TELEPRESENCE---AN IMPORTANT TECHNIQUE OF VIRTUAL REALITY

Virtual Reality is a wholly new interactive environment between the user and the machine,and itattracts more and more attentions from people all over the world. Telepresence is one of the important re-search branches of Virtual Reality that was developed by the need of tele-manipulation. Because the imple-mentation of telepresence can improve the capability of tele-manipulation greatly,it induces the research interests of many people, and it has developed a great deal.This paper introduces the concepts about the technique of telepresence and its main research contents.Then the main techniques in realizing telepresence areanalyzed in detail.Its future applications are foreseen in the end.
