| Abstract: | Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) is a local bus standard developed by Intel Corporation. Most modern PCs include a PCI bus in addition to a more general ISA expansion bus. This article first introduces, in detail, the basic features of PCI bus as well as the PCI configuration space. It then describes how to implement the access to the PCI configuration space by programming with MASM (Macro/MS Assembler), x86 assembler from Microsoft. |
