以太网物理拓扑发现算法

摘    要:物理拓扑发现技术是进行网络管理、性能分析和故障诊断等工作的前提条件。有关物理拓扑发现的国际标准正在讨论中,但是很难确定何时可以完成。网络厂商开发的专用协议则不适应异构网络环境。在以太网中,有可能通过分析以太网交换机的地址转发表来确定异构网格的物理拓扑,本文提出一个拓扑发现算法。

Abstract:Physical topology discovery algorithm is a prerequisite for many tasks suchas network management, network performance analysis and fault diagnosis. Although some international standards of physical topology discovery are being discussing, it is difficult to predicate when they will be done. Some network manufactures have developed their private protocols, but they couldn't work well in heterogeneous network. We will discuss a topology discovery algorithm based on the fact that it is possible to discover physical topology by analyzing the address forwarding tables(AFTs) of switch in an Ethernet.
