摘    要:细节层次模型是指对同一场景或场景中的物体,使用具有不同细节的描述方法得到一组模型,供绘制时选择使用。它可用在复杂3D场景快速绘制、飞行模拟器、3D动画、交互式可视化和虚拟现实等应用系统中。本文对多细节层次模型间的连续过渡技术进行了研究,提出一种基于建立对象对应关系的多细节层次模型间连续过渡的方法。该方法具有实现简单、速度快和过渡平滑的特点,并且适用于任意三角网格模型。

SMOOTH TRANSITION BETWEEN MODELS AT MULTIPLE LEVELS OF DETAIL
Abstract:Level of detail(LOD) are a group of models at different levels,which are used to describe one scene or its object and be selected for protracting. Models at multiple level of detail are widely used in real time rendering of complex 3D scene, flight simulator, 3D animation, interactive visualization, and virtual reality. In this paper, we have a detailed discussion on the continuous transition between LOD models. And we present a technique of continuous transition, which is based in establishing correspondence of objects. The advantage of this technique is simple, fast, and continuous. And it can be applied to any model of triangle mesh.
