微机多媒体数据库管理系统MObase

本文介绍了我们研制的微机多媒体数据库管理系统ＭＯｂａｓｅ的基本特点。Ｍｏｂａｓｅ是在我们研制的微机面向对象的数据库管理系统－Ｏｂａｓｅ基础上扩展而成的。Ｏｂａｓｅ支持面向对象的数据模型，用户界面就是一个Ｃ＋＋的特殊的类－－Ｏｂｃｌａｓｅ，提供了和Ｃ＋＋的完全无缝连接，系统本身用面向对象的方法实现，易于扩充。ＭＯｂａｓｅ中又新增了二进制串ＬＯＮＧ及图象帧ＰＩＣ ＦＲＡＭＥ等原子类以存储声音，图象等多

MULTIMEDIA DATABASE MANAGEMETNT SYSTEM ON MICROCOMPUTER SYSTEM

This paper presents a multimedia database management system on microcomputer systems--MObase. MObase is constructed by expanding an Object Oriented database management System--Obase, which is also developed by us and running on microcomputer systems. Obase support Object-Oriented data model and the interface between Obase and C is a specific class-Ob_class, which is a seamless joint between these two systems. Besides, Obase itself is designed through Object-Oriented approaches and is very easy to expand. To construct MObase, two new atomic class is added to Obase, which are binarystring LONG and image frame PIC_PRAME, to accomodate the image and sound data etc. Meanwhile, using the powerfull describing ability provided by object-Oriented data model supported by Obase, three subclasses of Oh class: images, graphics and sounds are defined which provide the system with the ability to manage character data, graphic data, imagesand sounds intergratedly. This paper first will briefly introduce the data model, query model and C interface of Obase, then describe the data model for multimedia data, at last an example is used to illustrate the data manuplating method.
