视景系统云层的特效模拟

摘    要:如何对云层进行建模和渲染是计算机图形学研究的热点问题.尤其是在飞行仿真系统中,云层的显示效果对于飞行模拟和飞行训练来说是非常重要的.Reeves提出的粒子系统是模拟云层的一种有效的方法.在分析粒子系统实现原理的基础上,提出了一种在天空场景漫游系统中实时地绘制云层的方法.基本思想是采用粒子系统建立云层的3D模型并进行渲染制,结合纹理映射、光照模型来实现逼真的云层模拟效果,同时采用Billboard技术以及Impostor技术来提高系统的实时性.实践证明,该方法实现的云层效果比较真实,而且在普通的PC机上也可以满足一般的实时性要求.

Abstract:For many researchers, how to model and render clouds is a very interesting problem in computer graphics. Especially in the Flight simulation systems, the effects and indications are very important to flight and flight training. Particle system presented by Reeves is a powerful way to simulate the cloud. A method for simulation real - time cloud in the sky scene is presented in this paper based on the principle of particle system. The basic idea of the method is using particle system to create 3D cloud images, combining with texture mapping technique and the lighting model of cloud to represent realistic cloud. The Billboard and Impostor techniques are used to maintain the immersion and real - time characteristic of the system. The result shows that the method is effective and can even meet the requirement of real - time animation on generic PC.
