摘    要:如何真实地在计算机中表达现实世界是计算机图形学的一个重要研究方向。基于几何造型的图像绘制混合是一种很有应用前景的方法。文中在实现前人提出的从建筑物照片中提取建筑物的几模型和相应纹理映射的算法的基础上,给出了一个虚拟环境的构造和漫游系统,简称VECW。

Abstract:In order to represent real world precisely, the hybrid approach using geometric modeling and image based rendering is promising. Based on the existing algorithms of creating geometric model of buildings with texture mapping from pictures, this paper presents a virtual environment construction and walkthrough system, named VECW. The system supports modeling from photographs and accepts the common model data form of Wavefront. Using the system, users can edit the positions and material properties of models in the scene, and also the lighting environment. Especially, it can save the scene data as VRML file. This system helps to construct a virtual scene conveniently and walkthrough it. Examples illustrate the efficiency of the system.
