| 摘 要： | 随着多媒体技术的广泛应用，图像压缩界呼唤一种新的国际标准，以满足用户对更高压缩效率和对压缩图像的互动性和可伸缩性的要求，JPEG2000就是在这种背景下应运而生的。文中重点讨论JPEG2000 PART1的图像压缩过程和对应的原理技术，说明它的几个重要特征是如何实现的；并对最近即将标准化的JPEG2000 PART2作了一个简要的介绍，通过实验数据再次说明了JPEG2000的先进性。

| Abstract: | As a new international standard for image compression JPEG2000 came into being to meet the users' newest demands of better performance and functionality. In this paper, the process, fundamental theories and involved technologies of image compression in JPEG2000 PART 1 are presented. Moreover, the realization of some important functions in JPEG2000 is also illustrated.At the end of this paper,the authors make a brief introduction to JPEG2000 PART 2,which will be standardized soon,and verify the advancement of JPEG2000 by experimental data. |
