Grid Database Management Model and Strategy

An increasing number of grid applications manage data at very large scale,of both size and distribution. OGSA defines Grid Services with consistent interfaces for creating,managing and exchanging information among Grid Services dynamically. This paper explores the model of managing grid databases with OGSA Grid Service, Grid database service provides in supporting discovery of and controlled access to data, in performing data manipulation operations,and in virtualising data resources. It implements access and integration of data from existing databases via the Grid. It also discusses the relevant performance tuning strategy.
