| Abstract: | Hypertext is a powerful new information representation and management technology which builds information structures around a network of multimedia nodes connected by typed semantic links This paper is intended to present a survey on the hypertext systems whose application areas are particularly directed to CAD and CASE. Six systems are identified. Their background, methodology main features as well as difficulties are carefully analysed. Finally, we offer some concluding remarks on the future research directions of hypertext in CAD and CASE. |
