摘    要:提出了一种基于高频子带自适应扫描的新图像编码算法,该算法以EZW编码方案为基础,能够通过单独编码最低频子带、自适应扫描高频子带内小波系数、采纳复杂关联模型等措施,在一定程度上克服EZW编码算法存在的编解码速度慢、峰值信噪比(PSNR)有待进一步提高等不足。对比实验表明:算法在编解码速度、图像复原质量等方面均优于EZW算法。

Abstract:In this paper, a new image coding algorithm based on adaptive scanning for high frequency subbands is presented It can be viewed as an improved version of EZW algorithm Unlike EZW, the lowest frequency subband is coded separately from other highpass subbands, the coefficients in a high frequency subband are scanned adaptively in the order of human visual system(HVS) importance, and the complex context modeling is adopted in the compression algorithm The experiment results show that the new image compression scheme performs better than that of EZW in the aspects of recovery image quality, encoding/decoding time, etc
