摘    要:虚拟现实、工业模拟、科学计算可视化、动画生成等领域的快速发展对物体渐变(metamorphosis)技术提出了迫切的要求。对近年来所提出的一些效果不错的算法进行了分析,总结出物体渐变的基本原理,对二维物质渐变技术进行了介绍,并从边界特征方法、整体方法和形态学方法3方面着重对三维物体渐变技术做了较全面的综述,通过对比不同方法优劣,探讨了物体渐变技术发展中所需要改进的关键问题,并展望了未来的研究方向。

Abstract:How to describe object motion and metamorphosis is more and more important for the development of virtual reality, industrial simulation, scientific computing visualization and so on. An almost comprehensive survey of the different approaches to object metamorphosis, which have been proposed in recent years, is presented in this paper. The normal metamorphosis principle is summarized, and the typical 2D metamorphosis approaches are introduced. The metamorphosis problem is studied in detail in the field of 3D object metamorphosis by using, shape based, volume based and morphology based technologies. Finally analyzed are the key points and the prospects of object metamorphosis, which lead to the important problems to be considered and solved.
