| 摘 要： | 该文提出的方法是为了解决关系数据库中存在一对多或多对多的关系而造成数据库设计复杂的问题。提出XML取代关系数据库的方法，再结合关系数据库和XML的技术，提出了在关系数据库中存储XML片断的方法，并进一步提出了XML数据类型的概念，同时对比分析了上述方法的优劣。关系数据库中存储XML片断的方法在某些应用中是一种可以接受的方法。

| Abstract: | The methods which have been put forward are to solve the problems of the relational database design when there is one-to- many and many-to- many relation in it. First, the method of replacing relational database with XML file is introduced. Second, the method of storing XML fragment in the database is brought forward. At last, the idea of XML data type in the relational database is covered. The advantages and the disadvantages of these methods also have been compared. The method of storing XML fragment in the database are acceptable in some applications. |
