| Abstract: | PVM is a distributed parallel computing soft environment on the basis of workstation cluster. By an example of parallelly solving the symmetric tridiagonal eigenproblem on PVM, this paper presents some special and effective strategies for maintaining load balancing and reducing communication overhead in order to improve parallel efficiency. |
