Research on pairwise testing

Software testing is an expensive part of the software development process. But in many situations, pairwise testing is used to reduce the cost of test and is proven to be practical and effective for many software systems. It requires that for each pair of input parameters of a system, every combination of valid values of these two parameters be covered by at least one test case. The concept of pairwise testing and two algorithms for generating test sets are introduced. Finally, some problems that should be considered in applying pairwise testing are discussed. Many ideas ofpairwise testing are extended for t-way testing.
