A Survey on Coverage and Connectivity Problem of Wireless Sensor Networks

Coverage and connectivity are two closely related fundamental issues in wireless sensor networks, which causse a direct impact on network performance and the quality of the network task. The paper gives the perception model of sensor nodes, classifies the coverage issues from different angles, sets forth the evaluation indexes of coverage control algorithm and introduces the typical algorithm on coverage issues and connectivity problems. Finally, it also gives prospects of the coverage and connectivity question in wireless sensor networks for future research directions.
