| 摘 要： | 对万维网地理信息系统（WebGIS)的技术现状和存在的问题进行了剖析，针对这些问题提出了利用XML的解决途径，并从基于XML的WebGIS系统建构的角度，对XML应用于WebGIS的几个方面及其优点进行了探讨。
