摘    要:主机接口(HPI)是TI公司数字信号处理器(DSP)中用于和主机(通常是微处理器)进行双向数据通信的8位并行接口。本文介绍了HPI的基本原理,并给出了数字信号处理器TMS320C5402和单片机MSP430X33X的硬件接口电路和软件编程。

Abstract:The host port interface (HPI) is an 8-bit parallel port used to interface a host processor or device to the Texas Instruments (TI) digital signal processor (DSP).The HPI enables the DSP to interface to host processors (typically microcontrollers) bidirectionally with minimal or no external interface logic.In this paper,the basic theory of HPI is described.Also, the hardware interface and a software protocol to communicate between the TMS320VC5402 DSP and the MSP430X33X mixed signal microcontroller are presented.
