Contents Index and Retrieval in Video Database

The requirement for retrieval of the contents in video database is eager along with the rapid development of computer network.This paper introduces its basic concept,proposes a video segmentation technology which uses function features,shot detection and shot clustering in segmenting.The technology will provide video retrieval and browse based on contents with great utility.
