小波变换极大值在数据压缩中的应用

摘    要:传统利用小波变换进行数据压缩的方法是基于小波变换的多分辨率滤波技术。结合小波变换的多分辨率特性,提出利用二阶样条小波变换模极大值压缩数据的方法。并在此基础上采用设定阈值消除幅值比较小的模极大值点的方法对信号进一步压缩。理论和仿真表明,利用小波变换模极大值压缩比率大、重构精确,对于平稳信号更是可以获得传统方法无可比拟的极大压缩比。

Abstract:The traditional use of wavelet transform in signal compression is based on the wavelet transform multiscale decomposition . A new signal compression model based on dyadic spline wavelet transform module maxima is presented in this paper. In this model, the strength of singularities is modified by changing the amplitude of the maxima or removing some singularities by suppressing the corresponding maxima according a threshold. Theoretical analysis and simulation illustrate that this method have properties such as high compression ratio, exacting reconstruction, extra high compression ratio to calm signals.
