| 摘 要： | 指纹增强对于提高细节特征的准确率以及整个自动指纹识别系统的性能都有着十分重要的意义。文中采用基于梯度的sobel算子方法求取指纹的方向图，并对传统的公式进行了补充；然后利用指纹的纹线局部方向一致性和纹线宽度信息，通过一组方向滤波器来实现指纹的增强。试验结果表明该方法对改善指纹图像的质量十分有效。

| Abstract: | Fingerprint enhancement is important for improving the accuracy of minutia extraction, even for the total automated fingerprint identification system. Firstly, this paper acquires the directional image based on sobel operators, and proposes a formula to complement the traditional algorithm. Secondly, the fingerprint enhancement is implemented by using ridge orientation, width of ridge and a set of orientation filters. Experiment results prove that the method is very effective and it improves the quality of fingerprint image. |
