Multithread as an indispensable technique is a good choice to implement concurrent application.This paper introduces the definitions of process, thread, AppDomain and their relationship, then describes Visual Basic.NET 's support of multithreading. It discusses how to manage the threads, priority, thread pool, synchronization,etc. It also presents how to develop the multithreaded application by multithreading based on Visual Basic .NET. Every thread needs resource. So creating of too many threads will degrade the performance of application. When the multithreaded applications were designed, it must be treated carefully. To get the best performance, a sound system module is necessary to set up.
