| Abstract: | In this paper, the application of fiber optic sensor to aircraft structure is presented. This includes the surface mounted and embedded optical fibre damage detection system, the use of fiber optic strain sensors for monitoring acoustic emission from within composite specimens, and a fiber optic strain rosette for maping the strain tensor within a composite structure. A initial research of fiber optic nevous system(FONS) is also presented. |
