Abstract:This paper introduces the basic principle of the internal model control(IMC) method,the design method of the IMC-PID controller,and then applies it to the resistance furnace temperature control system.IMC-PID controller has only one adjustable parameter.It is simple to tune and can overcome the complex-tuning parameters defect of the conventional PID,easy to grasp for the engineering and technical staff.The simulation results show that the IMC-PID control system has good dynamic performance and robustness,e...
