基于图像的车牌识别

基于图像的车牌识别是图像识别领域的重要研究课题之一。本论文采用MATLAB编程实现该车牌识别系统,综合使用多种方法提高系统的有效识别能力。首先,对图像进行预处理。其次,采用了一种结合字符边缘和形态学的车牌定位算法。接着,根据分割出的车牌区域,采用一种水平和垂直投影相结合的车牌字符分割法,完成单个字符的分割。最后,运用模板匹配的方法实现字符识别。

License Plate Recognition Based on Image

there is a higher attention on the vehicle license plate recognition.This paper proposes a method to realize the license plate recognition based on MATLAB,comprehensively uses numbers of ways to increase effective recognition of the system.Firstly,do some preprocessor.Secendly,bring forward a location algorithm which based on the license character edge and morphology.Thirdly,put forward a segmentation algorithm which combines the horizontal projection with the vertical projection.Finally,propose a method that based on template matching,to accomplish character recognition.
