基于综合特征的车牌分割算法

本文根据车牌区域具有丰富的垂直纹理这一主要特征,并结合车牌尺寸和通过投影呈现的峰值在一定范围内较为固定等特点,提出一种基于综合特征的车牌分割新方法。实验结果表明:该方法能够较为准确地完成车牌区域的分割,整个算法复杂度低,能够满足实时分割的要求。

A License Plate Location Algorithm Based on Comprehensive Characteristics

A new license plate location algorithm based comprehensive characteristic is presented according to the principal characteristic of rich vertical edge texture that license plate has, and other features that measurement of license plate and the number of the peak through projection are fixed at a certain extent. the experimental result shows: this license plate segmentation method can achieve accurately segmentation and location of car plate. The complexity of the algorithm is low, so it can meet real-time location request.
