| Abstract: | Several methods of image segmentation are introduced in this paper: the threshold-based segmentation method , the boundary-based segmentation method and the zone-based segmentation method. Meanwhile, the problems of these methods and the latest progress are described. Then, image segmentation methods combined special theories tools are introduced .Finally, some remarks on the further research and directions of image segmentation are presented. |
