Abstract: | Compression algorithms for digital images are described that are based on nonseparable two-dimensional wavelet transforms
on nonrectangular supports. The efficiencies of these algorithms are experimentally investigated and compared with those of
a compression algorithm based on a separable Haar wavelet basis.
