Abstract:LDPE/MMT/PEG composite phase change materials were perpared by polyethylene glycol(PEG) as phase-change material,with the nano-layered montmorillonite(MMT) intercalation melt compounding,and then melt blending with low density polyethylene(LDPE) by using polyethylene grafted maleic anhydride(LDPE-g-MAH) as compatibilizer in the twin-screw extruder.Their phase change behaviors,crystallization morphology and structure analysis were studied by using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),infrared spectrum(IR) and polarizing microscope(PLM) method,they have reversible solid-solid phase change properties.The result indicates that the LDPE/MMT/PEG PCMs have good phase transition properties,phase transition enthalpy shifting from 20.58 J/g to 88.76 J/g,phase transition temperature shifting from 47.5 ℃ to 63.6 ℃.It can be considered as promising phase change materials(PCMs).
