摘    要:综述了聚氨酯生物材料的体内降解机理以及所谓的“生物稳定聚氨酯材料”的研究进展,并对其发展进行了展望。

Abstract:Polyurethanes have unique mechanical and biological properties that make them ideal for many implantable devices. They are subject to some in vivo biodegradation mechanisms, however. Polyester urethanes tend to hydrolysis in acidic environment. Polyether urethanes, which are hydrolytic stable, can be destroyed by Environmental Stress Cracking(ESC) and Metal Ion Oxidation(MIO). So the biostability/biodegradation mechanisms of polyurethanes are of great attention and of continous interest for biomaterial scientist. Recent studies have focused on novel more biostable polyurethanes including polycarbonate urethanes, surface modified polyurethanes as well as polyurethanes containing biologic antioxidants. Biodegradation mechanisms and recent progresses of biostable polyurethanes were reviewed in this paper.
