摘    要:高分子量聚乙烯(UHMW-PE)纤维经过低温氧等离子体处理后,与环氧树脂的界面粘结性能明显改善。本文通过单纤维拔出实验、SEM、表面能以及界面裂纹能计算等方法研究了界面破坏形式及机理。随着等离子体处理时间的增加,裂纹扩展区域发生了相应变化,即从聚乙烯与树脂的界面逐渐移向纤维内部,导致了相应厚度的纤维表面层被剥落。剥落厚度还与纤维拉伸比有关。

Abstract:The fiber/epoxy resin adhesion has been reinforced by plasma treatment on Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMW-PE) fibers. The mechanism of the interface failure,as is reported in this paper, has been studied by the pull-out test, SEM, surf ace energy and fracture energy measurements. The failure for plasma-treated fiber involves rupture within the fiber, rather than at the interface between resin and fiber,so that a skin of fiber is peeled off. The thickness of the peeled-off layer is determined by plasma treatment time and draw ratios of fibers.
