| Abstract: | During past decades,extensive research has been carried out on sound insulation in buildings.Recent research progress reviewed in this paper includes following topics: mass law and single number rating,sound insulation of lightweight stud-panel walls,evaluation method for the floor impact sound insulation,flanking transmission in buildings,traffic noise barriers and noise reduction by green belt,sound insulation and air ventilation of windows,privacy in open plan offices. |
