| Abstract: | Single crystals of 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene (TNB) and 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) up to two centimeters in size were grown by the precipitant infusion method. Examination by an X-ray imaging method showed that the crystals, or substantial portions of them, are sufficiently perfect for many investigations. In a separate study crystals grown by this method were used for the structure determination of TNB. |
