Distributed energy resource(DER) and combined cooling heating and power(CCHP)indicate a series of new energy application technologies.In the US and Europe,these promising technologies have many applications and keep developing day and night.As for Chinese domestic market,there will be a predicted boom of applications and constructions in next ten years.However,the definitions of DER or CCHP are various among different groups or institutions.The confusion of glossary affects research,statistic and legislation about DER and CCHP,and results in obstacle of promotion and application.Thus,this article concludes a consensus definition of DER and its relationship with CCHP by analysis of diverse definitions and some factors regarding to definition.
