Abstract: | 8 mol% Y2O3-stabilized ZrO2 has been prepared by four routes which involve yttrium and zirconium metal organic compounds as starting materials. The thermal decomposition of the precursors has been investigated by means of thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and SEM technique with regard to their chemical homogeneity and phase composition. The possible reactions during precursor preparations are discussed. |
