| Abstract: | This paper discusses the relationship of production capacity and order pricing in an order driven BTO manufacturing firm who sells two substitutable products differentiated by time.Customer demand is assumed to be sensitive to time and price.Based on queuing theory,two models that integrate pricing,waiting time with capacity cost under shared capacity and dedicated capacity strategies are developed.Impacts of model parameters and different capacity strategies on optimal decisions are analyzed. |
