Abstract:To develop novel cathode materials with high performance for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells(SOFC),La0.8Sr0.2Co0.5Fe0.5O3-δ(LSCF) nano-powders was synthesized by a polymer-assisted synthesis method using glucose and acrylamide with metal nitrates(La(NO3)3·6H2O,Sr(NO3)3,Co(NO3)3·6H2O,Fe(NO3)3·9H2O) as raw materials under the condition of pH=8~10.Then the as-prepared powders were characterized with XRD,SEM,and TEM.The effect of the ratio of glucose and acrylamide to metal nitrates on the particle size was investigated in detail.The results indicated that the particle size of LSCF decreased with the increasing ratio of glucose and acrylamide to metal nitrates.The polarization resistance is 0.72 Ω·cm2 and 0.11 Ω·cm2 at 700 and 750 ℃,respectively.The research reveals that the method used here is suitable to prepare high performance cathode material for SOFC.
