| Abstract: | A new mixed variational formulation is presented for the elastic contact problem with application of least-square method. Since the formulation does not relate with B-B conditions, the construction of a space in finite element methods is simplified for the elastic contact problem. Existence and uniqueness of the solution of this new mixed variational problem are proved. |
