Taguchi methods in practice: An analysis of Goh's paradox
Authors:T N Goh
Abstract:The background of ‘Goh's paradox’ in connection with the application of the common version of Genichi Taguchi's parameter design routine is examined. A detailed case study is used to show how the paradox can be resolved, as well as to assess the probability of success of marginal analysis in Taguchi's prescribed procedure for quality and reliability improvement.
