| Abstract: | An overview of the characters and manufacturing methods of alumina-based cermets is present-ed.The techniques and effects of solidification and cooling conditions on microstructures are discussed by combiningthe recent results of authors' investigation.Researches and prospects of combustion synthesized alumina-based cer-mets are expounded.The paper raises the problems on the cermets and predicts the trend of development and the ap-plication prospect of the alumina-based cermets. |
