Abstract: | In this paper, Ni-based alloy composite coating reinforced by Ti (C,N) particles was fabricated on the mild steel through laser cladding technology. The microstructure of laser cladding layer was analyzed by means of optical microscopy (OM),X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The wear resistance test of the coating was evaluated using an M-2000 tester. The results showed that the Ni-based composite coating had an ability of rapid solidification to form dendritic crystals microstructure consisting of Ti (C,N) particulates uniformly distributed in the matrix. It was found that some Ti(C,N) particles are similar to be round in shape, and the others are irregular. Laser cladding layer reinforced by Ti(C,N) particulates was found to possess good wear resistance property. |
