通过美国GE公司轴颈箱铸件内冷铁 生产试验，指出铸钢件内冷铁尺寸采用局热节模数法，按熔合状态计算或查列线图确定简便、准确、实用。内冷铁尺寸偏大，兼作拉筋使用时阻碍铸件收缩，易引起铸件裂纹。内冷铁被金属液包围状态比非包围状态引起铸件裂纹的倾向要小。

Application of Insert for Journal Box Made for GE

Through on site experiment of insert on journal box made for GE transportation system. It points out that it is very convenient, simple and practical in determining the size of insert for steel casting by means of calculating the module of the heat nodus in the part according to melt on status or by looking up D-M-T chart. If the insert proves to be a drawing bar for the part, cracks occur easily. Cracks seldom occur if the insert is immersed into the melting metal rather than stays in the air.
