| Abstract: | In this paper the mechanisms, category and advantages of a new rapid prototyping technology based on three-dimensional welding deposition are introduced. The overseas and domestic researches of rapid prototyping technology based on three-dimensional welding deposition are reviewed. The current main problems and the strategies of this technology are presented. At last the future prospects of this technology are given. |
