| Abstract: | This review details the state of corrosion mechanism of the magnesium alloy and surface modification technologies applied to improve its corrosion and wear resistance. The topics covered conversion coatings and anodizing. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages between the technologies were discussed. Eventually, some suggestions for research on magnesium alloys were put forward. |
