| Abstract: | The cause and treatment for bearing burnout due to oil breakoff in Hanchuan No.3 turbine-generator are introduced and the cause for the accident is analyzed. It is proven that the rotor of steam turbine can be protected from permanent bending by means of cylinder holding. |
