| Abstract: | The contamination of steam turbine oil in a power plant was analyzed by using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). The source and cause of the impurity were identified. Leak of oil cooler is one of the major causes of failure in lubricating system. Some improvements were suggested. |
