Abstract:With the development of underground coal gasification technology, industrial experiments on underground coal gasification were successfully conducted in two coalmines of Xinwen Mines Group, and the products of underground coal gasification were used not only as household fuel by the residents but also for power generation with internal-combustion engines in pilot plants. In this paper, the operation parameters and performance of underground coal gasification and power generation units were investigated by an exergy analysis, and the main elements of exergy loss were acquired and analyzed. In addition, the underground integrated gasification combined cycle (UIGCC) power generation with the gas turbine was suggested to enhance the energy efficiency, which provide the technical basis for the application of underground coal gasification and power generation technology in China.
